Government Stock Options Program (GSOP) as Performance Pay

Government Stock Options Program (GSOP) as Performance Pay To ensure our nation remains a global leader, we need the best and brightest minds working in government. This requires competing with the private sector by offering competitive, even superior, earning potential, while managing government expenses responsibly. My proposed solution is the   Government Stock Options Program (GSOP) , a public-sector equivalent of an ESOP (Employee Stock Option Program). With GSOP, government employees and officials could receive stock options tied to a broad market index encompassing all public companies, ensuring impartiality and a focus on national prosperity rather than individual corporate interests. Here’s how GSOP would benefit us all: Because these options are linked to the performance of a broad market index, their value only increases if the economy flourishes over the course of the government employee’s tenure. This aligns government personnel’s financial success with that of the nation,

Response to "How to start a new country"

By Elijah Low This article is in response to “How to start a new country” by Balaji S. Srinivasan. https://1729.com/how-to-start-a-new-country/ The premise of the paper is to postulate what it would be like to start a new country starting from a blank slate and without historical constraints and proposes a cloud country starting with digital before going physical. I believe that technology should support an aspiration. I think the application of this idea goes beyond starting a new cloud country and many good applications can come from this dream that could help existing countries reform into a 2.0 version of their country.   Why start a new country?   If we could dream big without historical constraints, what would be the most magnificent, aspirational dream of a country we could have? We first need to figure out the end goal or the purpose of a country? We can stack technology to achieve a cloud country but the purpose of the cloud country needs to be aspirational and that aspi

God's Vision for Nations and Cities

If we want to understand the vision or blueprint that the Lord has for a nation (or a city) under Him, we need to read and understand the scripture from a narrative perspective. Secondly, we need to understand it in context of a father telling his son his desire for the family business rather than a boss telling the employee what to do in the business. When a father tells his son what he would like to see in the business, it usually comes with a certain level of liberty for the son to express the desire of the father and at the same time, the son usually has a desire not only to fulfill those wishes but to exceed the expectation. So, it is with both the narrative perspective and context of a father sharing his heart that we need to read the passages that describes a nation under the rulership of God. Two passages that give a good description are Isaiah 65 and Deuteronomy 28. The first passage is Isaiah 65 "Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will n
